WHY THE WORLD ISN’T LISTENING

The responsibility to broadcast what God is saying and doing belongs to His Church. It has been since Jesus came. The early Church needed to be “fed” and Jesus called upon Peter to “feed my sheep”, because Peter was the one disciple who listened to God directly (he was listening to the same God that Jesus was listening to). I doubt that he preached endless sermons from Deuteronomy or Judges or the rest of the Old Testament, since he was a simple fisherman, and yet today the phrase “feed my sheep” has come to mean exactly that.

All Scripture is like a Whetstone – good for honing the mighty double edged “Sword of the Spirit” to a razor sharp edge, but since the binding of the Old and New Testament into one volume, our pastors, teachers, evangelists, and even prophets have tried to battle the common enemy with a whetstone instead of His Sword. No wonder he’s laughing at us and the world isn’t listening!

HOUSE OF GOD TO HOUSE OF SAUD

(A Prophetic Vision)

On the day Jesus returns for His Church I see Him addressing a long line of believers with “Well done faithful servant” until an elderly lady stepped forward and asked “Master, what is your first directive to the Body?”.

The first thing we’ll have to do is to sell the Vatican!” He replied. “I’m estimating the neighbourhood of a trillion dollars, and we can use that to fund Mother Teresa’s Sisters of Charity for years to come, so that they can continue to share God’s love with the people and places that need it most.”|

I’m thinking that the Saudi Royal Family might be in the market for a new country, and the Vatican might suit them well. Lots of regal trappings, priceless treasures, and their very own Chapel where they can gaze upon the image of God hour after hour. They should be able to come up with the asking price (or at least a reasonable offer). With them out of the way, Arabia can join with the dozen or so other countries in the Middle East to to form a Confederation (like Canada), perhaps the first “weapon’s-free” nation on earth.”

The woman was shocked by His answer. “Lord, even Vladimir Putin couldn’t manipulate that many rulers!” she exclaimed.

Jesus whispered quietly “Remember, Sister, that with God, ALL things are possible. Israel has already begun signing peace treaties with several of Her neighbours.”

DIVINE INHERITANCE

My pastor and I have run into an obstacle in our quest to be like-minded! I have boldly written a vision of the reappearance of our Lord Jesus in which He outlines His plan to sell the Vatican to the Saudi Royal Family. My pastor isn’t sure whether He will have “a big enough hammer” to accomplish this thing, but I don’t see a problem there – after all, we’re talking about God himself! I do foresee a problem, however.

Whenever a family comes into a sizable inheritance like this (especially when it involves divine standing), it is quite likely that the number of family members starts to swell. Ordinary people start to claim “Royal” ancestry; ordinary people masquerade under the name and title of dead uncles and cousins; ordinary people try to marry into the Royal household. What will be required is a ruthless overseer to take charge of Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, and Marriage Licenses. Perhaps the Crown Prince will be up to the challenge.

H H Protocol *

The year 2020 will be remembered throughout history as the year when scientists finally found the cure for the common cold, as well as an effective prevention of all communicable viruses. Like other great discoveries, the protocol was stumbled upon accidentally while modern medicine was furiously scrambling to develop a vaccine (for Covid 19, the mystery virus). Caregivers across the entire spectrum of society began to realize that the temporary emergency regulations put in place to deal with the “pandemic” were equally effective in combating all other forms of disease transmission. The future looks bright for those countries that formalize the H H Protocol* in their constitutions. I look forward to seeing how many lives can be saved by eradicating this pestilential threat (especially to the weak and infirm). Perhaps one day the immune system will become as redundant as the appendix!

THE “EXCEPTIONAL” NATION

The origin of this phrase is a mystery to me. It wasn’t part of my programming in high school, so I am guessing that it was a title claimed by the United States after defeating the global threat posed by the German/Italian/Japanese forces. There were many countries fighting the same battle, and each country shares the same sense of pride (England, Canada, Russia, European resistance fighters, Australia, even China sacrificed enormously in the conflict, but it was only after the United States Military joined in that Victory was assured. Without denigrating the amazing courage of any of the participants, I wonder how this makes that country “exceptional”. Winston Churchill said it best when he quipped “you can count on the Americans to do the right thing, but only after exhausting all the alternatives”.

Another possibility for the “exceptional” qualification might be the industrial and manufacturing output. Compared to what the British empire was able to accomplish from one small island, I am singularly unimpressed. Besides, China has already taken the lead in this department.

Perhaps we are supposed to recognize the “exceptional” American “values” of justice, honesty and fair play. Their willingness to stand up for the oppressed of this world- defending freedom from tyranny- demonstrating peaceful, harmonious, communities as a shining example to other nations? I have to admit that when the world found out that helpless babies were being ripped out of incubators and left to die on the cold hospital floors in Kuwait a few years ago, it was the United States that had the moral courage to lead a coalition of civilized countries to drive the perpetrators back. With God’s help they were able to incinerate over 100,000 young men in less than a week, and thankfully only six coalition soldiers were lost (by accident, not in battle). Personally, the only thing that I find “exceptional” about this country is that the citizens can watch the carnage and mayhem that their government is inflicting on an otherwise reasonable world, and listen to their television pundits cheer about their “exceptional-ism” and believe what they hear. Perhaps they are all just ‘exceptionally’ gullible.
