WHY THE WORLD ISN’T LISTENING
The responsibility to broadcast what God is saying and doing belongs to His Church. It has been since Jesus came. The early Church needed to be “fed” and Jesus called upon Peter to “feed my sheep”, because Peter was the one disciple who listened to God directly (he was listening to the same God that Jesus was listening to). I doubt that he preached endless sermons from Deuteronomy or Judges or the rest of the Old Testament, since he was a simple fisherman, and yet today the phrase “feed my sheep” has come to mean exactly that.
All Scripture is like a Whetstone – good for honing the mighty double edged “Sword of the Spirit” to a razor sharp edge, but since the binding of the Old and New Testament into one volume, our pastors, teachers, evangelists, and even prophets have tried to battle the common enemy with a whetstone instead of His Sword. No wonder he’s laughing at us and the world isn’t listening!
